Everyone has a set of goals he/she want to achieve in a lifetime. But success is measured when your goal is achieve or becomes a reality. Setting goals or goal setting is a good thing to do, but that will not happen just like that without having a plan in place, these goals won’t become a reality.

Your goals should not be just a passion, but you should have a burning desire to reach them. This will motivate you to pursue it rigorously until you achieve success. These goals must be realistic and achievable to encourage you to achieve them.

Here are six steps you need to achieve your goals in life and live a life of fulfillment.

Write it down

Write down your goals on a notepad and make it a daily companion everywhere you go. Once written, it’s obvious it will become live. Read it every day in the morning and at night before you retire to bed.

Write it and put it in the target areas of your house to keep reminding you always. For instance, if you’re trying to write a book and you decide to write a chapter a day, you can put a reminder on your computer screen.

Be focus

Set your eyes on one thing and never lose focus. When you lose focus, you’ll be like a blind man trying to find his way in the marketplace. There maybe some distractions from family, friends and people who will tell you, you’re wasting your time.

If you decide to listen to them, you’ll be off your goals. Stay focus on what you’re doing. You’re the only one seeing it from your minds eye.

People often say 24 hours is too small, still there are people that have utilize 24 hours well. Well 24 hours is enough to do anything you want. The best thing to do is to plan your day ahead of time. Write down what you intent to accomplish on a daily basis. Don’t procrastinate things, because it’s the number one thing that kills dreams.

Break your dreams into smaller goals

If you intent to achieve your dream at once, it’s not going to be easy and to get the expected result at the end. All you need do is to break it into smaller goals. For instance, if you plan to invest 200,000 naira, you can start by saving 20,000 naira into your investment saving.

Change your lifestyle

Get rid of the things that can hinder you from accomplishing your dream. It can be switching off your television set or even changing your friends. It can also be an unhealthy lifestyle of drugs, sex and alchohol. Wrong lifestyle will not take you far. Stay away from bad influence that always discourage you.

Reward yourself

Anytime you accomplish anything, reward yourself and use it as a stepping stone to move forward.
